The 2023 ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium: Terms and Conditions of Payments

By making your payment to attend the 2023 ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Pricing and attendance

Payments must be made in advance via credit card payment on Stripe as part of registering on the symposium website. All major credit cards are accepted. To use other forms of payment, contact the organizers at the address below. The deadline for registrations is October 31, 2023 at 5:00pm Eastern Time.

Online attendance option

To attend the symposium online the fee is $495, which includes an accessible electronic copy of the proceedings. A print copy is available for an additional $20 fee.

To the above fee, there are the following discounts available:

  • 10% for attendees from Government Institutions. To be eligible for the discount, attendees must use their ‘.gov’ (or equivalent) or ‘.mil’ (or equivalent) email address during registration.
  • 20% for attendees from Academic institutions and Non-Profit organizations. To be eligible for the discount, attendees must use their ‘.edu’ (or equivalent) or ‘.org.’ (or equivalent) email address during registration.
  • 50% for students. To be eligible for Student rates, attendees must be enrolled in a full-time or part-time course of study at a higher education institution at the time of registration and/or at the time of the event. Students must use their ‘.edu’ (or equivalent) email address during registration. If students are not yet enrolled or have since graduated and do not have a ‘.edu’ email address, they must send separate written confirmation of their enrollment or graduation to the organizers at the address below.

In-person attendance option

To attend the symposium in-person, the fee is $495, which includes an accessible electronic copy of the proceedings. A print copy is available for an additional $20 fee. The fee also includes drinks, snacks, and lunch during the conference, and access to any social events.

In-person attendance is limited to 130 attendees.

To attend an optional course or workshop, the additional fee is $345. It is also possible to attend a course or workshop without registering for the symposium, in which case the fee is $545.

In-person attendance and Covid-19 policies

In-Person attendance will be subject to the requirements and policies of the host organization, the American University, Washington College of Law. For example, the determination of whether in-person attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination or negative tests of Covid-19. Access to recordings

Registered attendees will have access to recordings of the symposium sessions until at least December 31, 2023 at 11:59 pm. Subsequent to that date and time, recordings may be made available publicly at the discretion of the event organizers.

Transfers, Cancellations, and Refunds

Registrations are transferrable at any time up to the close of registration. Contact the Symposium chair (details below) to request a transfer or a cancellation and refund. Cancellation requests will be honored if they are received prior to the registration deadline of October 31, 2023 at 5:00pm Eastern Time. Prior to the deadline, a full cancellation and refund will be issued. After the registration deadline, cancellations will not be accepted and refunds will not be issued.

Cancellation and refunds of Courses or Workshops

In the event that a course or workshop has fewer than six registered attendees, the workshop will be cancelled. Attendees will have the option to transfer to a different workshop, or have their workshop fee refunded.

Privacy and personally identifiable information policy

The information collected on the registration page is used for ensuring that we have your information in order to create list of attendees to be distributed to all attendees, and ensuring that we can contact you in advance of the event should there be any difficulty with your registration. Personal information is not shared with any third-parties.

Photographs may be taken at the event and used in promotional materials on the conference website. If any attendees subsequently object to their image being shown on the website, we will remove the image.

Once registration payment is processed, credit card details are not collected or stored by Accessibility Track Consulting, LLC, the company handling the finances for the symposium. Payments are processed via Stripe, and the payment receipt will show as coming from Accessibility Track Consulting (separate to the email registration confirmation from the symposium). Payments may show on your statement as ‘Accessibility Track Consulting, LLC’ or ‘Accessibility Track’ or ‘ATC-LLC’.

Your email address will be automatically added to Accessibility Track Consulting, LLC’s email list to provide update notifications leading up to the event, and for notifications regarding future ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium events. Periodic related activity and event announcements from Accessibility Track Consulting, LLC are also distributed to this list. Each email includes ‘Unsubscribe’ information. There is an opt-out option on the registration form.

If you are subscribed to the email list, and the ICT Accessibility Testing Symposium is organized by a group other than Accessibility Track Consulting, LLC in the following year, only your email address will be passed to the new organizers. In any email notifications that the new organizers send, they will include instructions on how to unsubscribe.
